What is it?
Trinity - One God - one nature, three persons
- God the Father → who created us
- God the Son → who redeemed us
- God the Holy Spirit (or Holy Ghost) → who changes us
- They are equal.
- One doesn’t submit to another.
- one divine nature - that is God.
- possessed by each of the three distinct persons

Matthew 26:37-43 NLT
37 He took Peter and Zebedee’s two sons, James and John, and he became anguished and distressed. 38 He told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” 39 He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.” 40 Then he returned to the disciples and found them asleep. He said to Peter, “Couldn’t you watch with me even one hour? 41 Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!” 42 Then Jesus left them a second time and prayed, “My Father! If this cup cannot be taken away unless I drink it, your will be done.” 43 When he returned to them again, he found them sleeping, for they couldn’t keep their eyes open.
Romans 8:26 NLT
26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
John 14:16-17 ESV
16Â And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17Â even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

Ephesians 5:15-20 NLT - Living by the Spirit’s Power
(15) So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. (16) Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. (17) Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. ==(18) Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit==, (19) singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. (20) And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Are you filled with the Holy Spirit?
We all should seek to do good.

Romans 8:5-9 NLT
(5) Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. (6) So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. (7) For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. (8) That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. (9) But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)
Sinful nature is the body. The flesh.
2025.02.16: Anatomy of the Spirit, Soul and Flesh
Do you make room for the Holy Spirit?
Like discussed 2025.02.16: Anatomy of the Spirit, Soul and Flesh: there’s fight between the spirit and the flesh. You’re the one who has to choose.
Romans 7:15-20 NLT
(15) I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. (16) But if I know that what I am doing is wrong, this shows that I agree that the law is good. (17) So I am not the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it. (18) And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to do what is right, but I can’t. (19) I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. (20) But if I do what I don’t want to do, I am not really the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it.
